Product-minded, customer-facing software engineer who owns critical platform surfaces, independently builds unusual real-time applications, and improves the technical defaults inherited by an engineering team.

Experience

Forio — Software Developer

August 2021–present

Own product engineering for Dashboard, the management application for Epicenter, Forio’s platform behind 10M+ learner experiences and 1,000+ simulations. Lead discovery, product design, sprint planning, UI implementation, and roadmap and dependency negotiation with the upstream platform team. Dashboard is time-critical infrastructure used by customers, sales, and developers to configure simulations and place learners into playable groups.

Independently designed and built Babson College’s Mindset Game, a nine-month real-time multiplayer project combining an Excalidraw-based collaborative canvas, an original jigsaw game, a shared economy, and a facilitator view. Owned customer communication, architecture, deployment, beta facilitation, and support. When Epicenter channels could not stream the required updates, shipped an interim Socket.IO service on AWS and advised on the native channel implementation that replaced it.

Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers building directly on Epicenter, advising on architecture through consultations and working examples. Shape the team’s defaults through dev-base-build, a maintained set of reference implementations that seeds new projects and drives internal documentation; led adoption of TypeScript and TanStack Query and conduct a substantial share of code review across an eight-person engineering team.

Built a Claude Code and Codex plugin that grounds agent-assisted development in Epicenter’s actual platform contract, pairing fast retrieval from reflection-generated API documentation with slower authoritative access to private source. Contributed Java changes upstream to improve the generated documentation.

Institute for Advanced Study — Digital Content Specialist; Editorial Assistant

August 2018–August 2021

Grew from an editorial position into a hybrid product, design, and engineering role. Built a Svelte application for approximately 250 scholar profiles with ranked fuzzy search, filtering, highlighted matches, and lazy rendering for mobile performance; designed and developed the web edition of the Institute Letter; and contributed to the Institute’s Drupal platform and publishing workflows.
